AL-KO Kober safety coupling
ADAC test winner with rating recommended.
As the owner of a caravan or utility trailer, you know the critical situations in oncoming truck traffic, overtaking maneuvers, cross winds or Cornering. This is where the ingenious safety system of the AL-KO Kober AKS coupling comes into play. A precisely defined damping torque is built up by up to four friction linings acting on the ball of the trailer coupling. Any pendulum movements while driving are effectively suppressed from the outset. You can move your team much more safely and without any tendency to roll. The AL-KO safety ball coupling increases the theoretical maximum speed by around 30%. It prevents the dreaded "stick-slip effect" even if the critical speed is exceeded. In an emergency situation, the team can calm down up to 80% faster.
How it works: By operating the stabilization handle, 4 special friction linings are attached to the left, right, back and front the trailer ball of the car pressed. The contact pressure of the side pads can be up to 330 Nm. Pendulum or pitching movements are effectively suppressed right from the start.
